2015/07/24Microsemi  Company / Market Trends

ALISO VIEJO, Calif., July 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Microsemi Corporation (Nasdaq: MSCC), a leading provider of semiconductor solutions differentiated by power, security, reliability and performance, today announced its Board of Directors has authorized a new share buyback plan for the repurchase of up to $100 million of the company's common stock. The timing and amount of repurchase transactions under this program will depend on market conditions and corporate and regulatory decisions, as well as the completion of Microsemi's existing $100 million share buyback program previously announced on September 10, 2014, under which the company has purchased approximately $60.5 million in company stock through July 23, 2015. The purchases for both programs will be funded from available working capital.

The new authorization permits the company to repurchase up to $100 million of common stock before July 31, 2017. The program does not obligate the company to acquire any particular amount of common stock, and may be modified or suspended at any time at the company's discretion.
