Eindhoven, Netherlands, July 22, 2015 – NXP Semiconductor N.V. (NASDAQ: NXPI) today announced it has been named a winner in the EE Times and EDN 2015 UBM Canon ACE Awards in the Company of the Year category. The awards program honors the people and companies behind the technologies and products that are changing the world of electronics.

The winners were announced at an awards ceremony on Tuesday, July 21, at the Santa Clara Convention Center, during the Embedded Systems Conference Silicon Valley.

“Founded more than 50 years ago as Philips Semiconductors, NXP is built on rich technology heritage. Inside and out, NXP stands for innovation and versatility needed in today’s constantly changing market,” said Andrew Hardy, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at NXP. “On behalf of the team here at NXP, we’re honored to be recognized by EE Times and EDN as Company of the Year and will continue to innovate for the benefit of our customers, our communities and society overall.”

NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NASDAQ: NXPI) creates solutions that enable secure connections for a smarter world. Building on its expertise in high-performance mixed signal electronics, NXP is driving innovation in the areas of connected car, security, portable & wearable, and the Internet of Things. NXP has operations in more than 25 countries, and posted revenue of $5.65 billion in 2014.

“We are continually amazed at the level of creativity in the design, innovation and technology exemplified by these award winners,” said Suzanne Deffree, Executive Editor at UBM Canon's EDN. “The ACE Awards celebrate the highest achievements in innovation and creativity in electronics design, and selecting one organization or individual that stands out above the rest is incredibly challenging. We are pleased to be able to celebrate their achievements.”

A panel of EE Times and EDN editors narrowed down the entries to three finalists in each category, based on the criteria set forth in an online submission form. Winners are determined from among the finalists by a panel of independent judges.
