In line with our commitment to provide continual improvements to our products and in response to market demand, Bourns® Sensors & Controls Product Line is announcing an improvement to our Model 3851 and 3852 ¾ ” diameter panel control. Th e improvement results in better consistency in tactile feel and rotational torque. Th ese changes will aff ect all standard part numbers and many of the custom part numbers related to these models.

The design improvement involves the addition of a Delrin® acetal resin washer between the moving rotor and the rear side of the bushing. Th is results in a smoother feel and better consistency in rotational torque.

The improvement will be implemented in production at the end of April, 2012. Since this improvement will be a running change, some customers may receive product from the current design until the existing inventory has been depleted.
