TOKYO (March 3, 2015) – THine Electronics, Inc. (JASDAQ:6769), the
global leader in high-speed serial interface and provider of
mixed-signal LSI today announced its new solution with V-by-One® HS for
surveillance pan-tilt-zoom cameras or PTZ cameras by adopting V-by-One®
HS’ noise tolerance feature, launching THCV233 and THCV234 with
supporting wide temperature from - 40°C to 105°C for outside-settled PTZ
cameras. Surveillance camera markets have trends to enhance their
resolution to full HD and 4Kx2K, these new products and existing
V-by-One® HS products can support robust and low-cost transmission even
through slip rings that are required to movement options of pan, tilt,
and zoom and that connect between camera modules and main processor
boards. Since high resolution pixel data of full HD or 4Kx2K, if
transmitted by way of slip rings, usually face severe signal
deterioration, communication of such high resolution data is hardly
robust or limited within certain length. THine, in order to breakthrough
such constraints, offers new solution to adopt its V-by-One® HS
technology that has extraordinary transmission quality that results in
reducing the number of cables or in longer communication for pixel data
of full HD and 60 frames per second, and supports endless rotary
movements of PTZ cameras. Compared with LVDS transmission, V-by-One® HS
transmission requires only one fourth of slip ring cores that results in
drastic cost reduction. V-by-One® HS technology, originally developed
by THine, is widely known as de facto standard of internal high-speed
interface for 4K televisions. V-by-One® HS has adoptive equalizer
function. If slip rings brings frequent data loss by wear and
deterioration through long-period use, such adoptive equalizer function
can adjust the data and achieve robust data transmission. With using
V-by-One® HS in slip ring transmission of pixel data, the Ethernet
signals output from surveillance cameras are free from signal
deterioration by slip rings and such systems enable to communicate for
longer distance and more robust between cameras and recording devises
than systems using Ethernet in slip ring transmission. Some of
surveillance cameras are settled outside of buildings. THine has added
THCV233 and THCV234 to industrial product line-ups with supporting wider
temperature from - 40°C to 105°C for such outside use with wider
temperature usage. In addition, THine plans to add more V-by-One® HS
products for surveillance camera markets to deliver its original value
with supporting high resolution, lower costs for longer-distance. THine
will have exhibition booth of No.SS3305 at SECURITY SHOW 2015 held at
Tokyo Big Sight from March 3rd to March 6th. THine’s booth will
demonstrate this new solution of slip ring transmission of full HD /
1080p 60fps with endless rotary camera by THine’s high speed digital
interface as well as optical data communication by V-by-One® HS.
