LCC Series Conduction Cooled AC-DC Power Supplies
Artesyn Embedded Technologies
Advanced Energy’s Artesyn LCC series is a family of fanless, conduction-cooled AC-DC power supplies housed in a robust, sealed enclosure with optional IP65 protection against the ingress of dust and water.
Current models offer 250 or 600 W power outputs, this video is focused on the LCC600 series.
Power supplies in the LCC600 series can deliver their full 600 W power output across a wide operating temperature range of -40 to 85 °C.
Unlike many power supplies on the market, which typically require output derating above approximately 55 °C.
This is especially cost-effective for users who would otherwise need to budget for larger or additional power supplies.
The LCC600 power supply features a universal 90 to 265 VAC input with optional 180 to 305 VAC input, enabling it to be used virtually anywhere in the world without adjustment.
Models available feature a single 12, 28, 36 or 48 VDC output, with wide adjustment, and 5 VAC standby output.
It has a 4x9 inch footprint and is less than 1U high.
Typical efficiency is 93%.
These power supplies are ideal for applications that require the power supply to be located in the same outdoor environment as the equipment it is powering, such as bulk power for outdoor signage and for telecom installations such as antenna and base station equipment.
The power supply is equally suitable for indoor use, such as in control consoles, indoor signage and medical applications, where the absence of cooling fans can help minimize dust and noise.
Versions with medical safety approvals are available for BF type applications such as patient monitoring systems and ultrasound equipment.
All LCC600 series power supplies feature a PMBus-compliant I2C communication interface to facilitate remote set-up and monitoring.
Detailed technical reference notes and outstanding technical support make it easy for you to integrate the LCC series into your design.
