In today’s networked world, ensuring security is fundamental. With Common Criteria EAL 6+ certification, NXP's SmartMX2 builds on over five product generations of experience and introduces our new IntegralSecurity™ Architecture. This leverages over 100 dedicated security mechanisms to create a dense protection shield with redundancy and multiple layers.
The CC EAL 6+ certification brings chip security evaluation to a new level thanks to the requirement of formal proof of security policy. The evaluation adds rigorous mathematical testing of the entire security architecture to resistance against various invasive, semi-invasive and non-invasive attacks. The results have provided a near flawless performance.
Additionally, the SmartMX2 has a high-performance CPU with enhanced 8 to 32-bit application instruction set as well as power-efficient, high-speed crypto coprocessors for RSA/ECC and DES/AES. With dual-interface capability and based on 90 nm wafer, it is the successor of our market leading SmartMX.
By offering a modern, state of the art chip solution NXP continues to provide the basis for greater end-user flexibility, convenience and speed. Whether travelling through airport security with an e-passport or buying a coffee with a contactless bank card, the chip technology makes authenticating identities and securing transactions faster and more secure.
NXP is the undisputed world leader in secure microcontrollers used in bank cards, electronic passports and IDs, health cards, transit cards and readers as well as mobile phone e-wallets. The latest certification is a testament to NXP’s dedication to ensuring the highest levels of security in the industry to authenticate identities and secure transactions.
