Norwood, MA (08/11/2011) - Analog Devices, Inc. (NYSE: ADI), a world leader in semiconductors for high-performance signal processing applications and longtime collaborator with the automotive industry, has received the 2009-2010 Bosch Supplier Award. ADI received the award for superior service in the electronics category (ASIC and ASSP), in particular for supplying application-specific analog and mixed-signal products designed to meet the rigorous quality and reliability standards of the automotive industry.
Awarded every two years, the prestigious Bosch Supplier Award recognizes companies that have delivered outstanding performance in manufacturing and supplying products or services while maintaining quality standards and reliability specifications, advancing technology, and making continuous improvements.
"The Bosch Supplier Award goes to outstanding suppliers who play a key role in the Bosch Group’s success and work with Bosch on the ongoing further development and improvement of products and manufacturing processes," said Franz Fehrenbach, chairman of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH, at an awards ceremony on 19 July, 2011 at Stuttgart’s Alte Reithalle hotel in Germany.
Analog Devices has continuously increased its focus on meeting the rigorous quality standards of the automotive industry over the past decade. Today, ADI supplies Bosch with products for a broad range of applications, from injection control and pressure sensing to advanced energy management and HEV (hybrid and electric vehicles) solutions.
Thomas Wessel, VP of Automotive at Analog Devices, said: "There is a strong alignment on the key trends and focus areas between our two companies, and with this award we are taking our relationship to the next level. It is an honor to be recognized for our achievements in this particular year coinciding with the Bosch Group’s 125th anniversary. This award is a great acknowledgement of our continued efforts to serve Bosch and a motivation for the entire Analog Devices team. To quote Robert Bosch: 'to achieve this end, no sacrifice may be considered too great.' "
"I am very pleased to see that our systematic and continued efforts to improve Analog Devices’ performance in the areas of quality, logistics, cost and overall customer service have made a difference for Bosch," said Jochen Schmid, Global Account Manager for Bosch at Analog Devices.
ADI joins 60 suppliers from 14 countries receiving awards in one of seven categories. This is the first time Analog Devices has received a Bosch Supplier Award. Bosch presents the company’s supplier awards every two years, and this is the twelfth award cycle since the awards were first presented in 1987. There were no awards in 2009 due to the global financial and economic downturn.
