RX23E-A Channel-to-Channel Isolated Analog Measurement System Reference Design
Reference design for a synchronous temperature and voltage measurement system with four RX23E-A isolated channels.
It is ideal for applications such as analog input modules with multiple analog inputs, temperature controllers, recorders, and data acquisition.
This reference design combines the RX23E-A, a high precision AFE embedded microcontroller, with the RX72M, which, in addition to A/D conversion, also performs distributed processing functions such as digital filtering and physical quantity conversion. As a result, the RX23E-A provides both high-precision measurement, high-speed response, and synchronous measurement between 4 channels, which cannot be achieved with a conventional discrete ADC. It also reduces the processing load on the host MCU, the RX72M, allowing the RX72M to concentrate on processing that only the host can perform.
The measurement result acquisition cycle is 10 msec, and the step response time is 70 msec. In addition, 4-channel synchronous measurement is possible with an error of 1 msec or less. These specifications are sufficient for systems that target signals that change relatively slowly, such as temperature and pressure.
