RIVERSIDE, Calif., December 2, 2024 - Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, today announced the release of the Riedon™ Model SSD-500A Series Shunt Sensor – Digital by Bourns with 500 Amps nominal current. 

The extended electrical rating allows designers to use a supply voltage of 24 V (15 mA typical), enabling them to meet high accuracy measurement requirements in a wider range of battery-related applications, including large-scale energy storage banks, renewable energy generation infrastructure, industrial motor drives, building automation systems, and EV charging stations.
