Automotive-grade ultrafast diodesST’s portfolio of ultrafast diodes is qualified to the AEC-Q101 standard and is intended for DC-DC converters used in numerous automotive functions. These dedicated products are guaranteed in operation at junction temperatures from -40 °C up to +175 °C. The extension Y is used in the part number to identify the automotive version for a given rectifier.
A special screening matrix is implemented on these automotive-grade products at die and finished good levels, in order to comply with the most stringent international automotive quality requirements.
Super-slim AEC-Q101-qualified ultrafast rectifiers Housed in SMBFlat package - only 50 mg and 1 mm thick - ST’s automotive-qualified high-voltage ultrafast rectifiers are suited for miniature electronic control modules, power converters, and motor drives, in automotive applications and equipment installed in harsh environments, such as mobile base stations and outdoor lighting, thanks to a temperature range from -40 °C to 175 °C. Almost 60% thinner than the standard 2.4 mm-high SMB package – while fully footprint compatible – designers can create lighter and slimmer Electronic Control Units, or easily use these as replacements in existing designs. Current-rated from 1 A to 3 A, with a VRRM from 600 V to 1200 V, this new 10-rectifier range includes L-series devices with low forward voltage (VF) for circuits requiring low conduction losses, and R-series devices with shorter reverse-recovery time (trr) permitting the use of smaller external inductors and capacitors at higher operating frequencies.
