The new NXP Semiconductors TLVH431 adjustable precision shunt regulators offer a lower reference voltage (Vref) of 1.24V, and can produce a regulated output between Vref and 18V programmed by just two external voltage-setting resistors.
The TLVH431 family joins the existing TL431 family, which has a 2.495V reference voltage, and provides a choice of three different reference voltage tolerances. Designers can select from standard-grade devices of 1.5% tolerance as well as 1% A-Grade and 0.75% D-Grade devices. The standard operating temperature range is -40°C to 125°C. Other options include normal or mirrored pinning in the 3-pin SOT23 SMD plastic package option, and a choice of 0°C to 70°C or -40°C to 85°C temperature range in standard and A-grade tolerances. Customers can also select the popular 5-pin SOT753 package option, also known as SOT23-5 in the market, in each tolerance.
TLVH431 voltage references require a minimum cathode current for regulation of only 55μA, which helps to maximise energy efficiency, for instance in the feedback loop of SMPS. It can sink up to 70mA. In addition, active output circuitry provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, allowing the devices to replace Zener diodes for better performance in applications such as on-board regulation, adjustable power supplies and low-voltage switched-mode power supplies.
Features: ・ 0.1」[ typical output impedance ・ 4mV typical temperature drift (-40「XC to 125「XC) ・ Low output noise ・ AEC-Q100 qualified (grade 1)
Applications: ・Shunt voltage regulators ・Precision voltage reference ・Precision constant-current sinks ・Isolated feedback loop for Switched-Mode Power Supplies (SMPS)
